| Lots of info pouring out of yesterday's developer conference held by the bigwigs at AMD. The guys at DailyTech have covered the GPU side of things with their story on the upcoming release of the R680, RV620 & RV635 graphics cores; due next month. The R680 has been confirmed to be dual-GPU, but they're tight-lipped on the specs, save for that they will both be produced at 55nm. EETimes is covering the CPU end of things with their piece highlighting the eight-core 'Montreal' due in 2009. Montreal will run on AMD's 'Pirahna' platform, which will sport HT3.0 & DDR3 support. They've also got more details on AMD's plans for their GPU-CPU combination, codenamed 'Fusion.' |
