Phenom's launch is just over two weeks away, & the news is not looking so hot for AMD. The Inquirer is reporting that the 2.6GHz part everyone had hoped to see at launch doesn't look like it's going to arrive. This, of course, means that the 2.8GHz part that was expected by year's end likely won't show up, either.

There's some interesting (if not mitigating?) news out of Fudzilla this morning, though, saying that Phenom's cores can be overclocked independently. Would be a nice thing for gaming, especially, since most games are still single-threaded. The "OverDrive" feature is a Windows application, apparently.
