What're those heatspreaders on your RAM for if they don't actually contribute to the cooling? BTXFormFactor ripped apart a pair of OCZ XTC sticks of RAM to see just what their heatspreaders were made of, & ran some temperature tests to boot.

"While many may argue that a heatspreader does little on the memory chips, you honestly can't expect this arrangement to be too effective."
