Palit HD 2600 XT - Speed vs Memory at TweakTown
Written by t-readyroc

The guys at TweakTown are asking the question of whether it's better to have a 2600XT with more RAM, or whether it's better to have one with a higher-than-stock GPU clock speed. The more textures you're processing in today's games, the more video RAM you're going to need. Of course, none of that extra RAM will make a difference if you can't process it fast enough...

"We then have the Sonic which is an overclocked 256MB GDDR3 card, and in the other corner we have the Super which comes in at stock clocks but carries with it 512MB of GDDR3 memory."
