SteelSeries have announced a new line of gaming mice: optical for FPS'ers, & laser for RPG'ers. You can apparently program the Ikari laser buttons with macros at home, then if you take it on the road with you, it will remember the settings on your LAN machine without messing around with driver installation. Pretty cool.

Other than the sensor tech, the mice look pretty much identical. The design reminds me of my venerable MX500, but a bit "fatter." They announced the mice at GC '07, & they'll be released later this year. Scroll down the page for the mugshots of all the pro gamers they had input from on the design.
