Realtek's "fix" for their EAX implementation at the TechReport

The guys at the TechReport have been hounding Realtek on & off about their incorrect EAX implementation. Chances are, if you use an on-board sound solution these days, you're using a Realtek chip. Hey, they just wanted to see it fixed, right? Well, apparently Realtek's been working on things behind-the-scenes, because they fixed it; sort of.

"However, last week a reader emailed me suggesting that Realtek had fixed occlusion and obstruction support in its latest 1.71 drivers, so I decided to take them for a spin, with curious results."
