Kotaku's reporting that the closed beta has been announced, but that it's only open to people in Japan. If you want in, & are eligible, they've got a link to the application page.

"The sign-up site is already running, but it is restricted to 3,000 players in Japan. The beta test will run from August 20 through September 3. If you live in Japan and want to register for a chance to play make sure you hit the link below by August 6."
