When I saw the subject line of the email from the Phoronix guys, I thought to myself, "yeah, whatever did happen to XGI?" Since they released their own cards a while back, they've pretty much faded into obscurity. Everyone knew from the get-go that they wouldn't be able to compete with the big boys, but they were aiming at the mid-range market...
