The whole idea of needing to change a lamp has put me off DLPs, but I knew the shift to LED back-lighting was coming. Samsung has had a few LED-based sets on store shelves since last year, but it looks like we may be seeing a full shift in that direction now. We'll see a bit better color reproduction, but the best part is the leap in longevity.
