Geoff over at TR's got the dirt on some upcoming Intel projects that he gleaned from a press briefing prior to the upcoming IDF in Beijing. My question is, if QuadFX "failed so miserably" in the minds of enthusiasts, then there really shouldn't be a need for something like Skulltrail,should there? Larrabee sounds like Intel's answer for "stream processors."

"Nonetheless, the company did mention that Larrabee was a highly parallel, Intel Architecture-based programmable architecture, that it would be easily programmable using existing tools, and that it was designed to scale to trillions of floating point operations per second (teraFLOPS)."
