| Couple of different sites talking about AMD's upcoming chips today. HKEPC's got some details on quad-core Barcelona, which they expect to see available by the end of June this year. These Opteron chips will be based on HT 1.0, & run on the Socket F platform. X-bit Labs, meanwhile has digested an interview with AMD's CEO, Hector Ruiz, where he discusses the availability of the K8L, DDR3-supporting chips. These are the "star family" of processors, & Hector says that the initial ramp-up will be slow, but they also discuss the desktop variety AM2+-based chips available in Q3 of this year.
