The XYZ guys take apart their trusty VIA EPIA-based mini-ITX cube (built with the very cool Hoojum Cubit 3), & beef it up a bit. A bit = moving from the EPIA to a Core2, with 2GB of RAM. Lots of power in this little cube.

"The embedded processor was great for simple tasks but even with the help of the powerful TV tuner card its operation was slow. The performance of the system was once acceptable, but when relaxing who wants to be waiting for a system to load when other options, like TiVo work so well?"
