Xbit Labs pushes E4300 Allendale to 3.4GHz+ on air

Wow. Unoid just linked me to Xbit Labs' review of the new Core 2 Duo E4300 Allendale core chips. They were able to push the chip to X6800 speeds on air, without upping the voltage. Now that's some serious overclockability. Not only that, they got it to go to 3.42GHz, again, on air, by upping the voltage by a mere 20% to 1.6V. Wow... not too bad when you can run a $113 chip under air cooling at the same speed as a $958 chip without touching anything but the FSB...
