Sun has released JavaSE 6, which boasts Vista support. Sun has also worked to dispell allegations of discrimination against scripting languages this time around by including the open-source Rhino engine; developed by the Mozilla Foundation. This latest version is not yet GPL'ed, but you can download it here.
