| Another IE flaw, and a Power Point vulnerability for good measure |

| Yikes. A quick glance over Secunia's advisories page brought these two straight to my attention, both of which are rated "extremely critical," & neither of which have vendor patches listed as of yet. The first one is yet another IE vulnerability involving ActiveX controls; nothing terribly out of the ordinary, right? IE flaws have become par for the course of late. The second one, though, has me intrigued (read: concerned). It seems that any un-suspecting Power Point user could open a malicious .ppt file & compromise their entire system. It affects all versions of Office from 2000 through 2003, & even the Office for Mac versions are affected. The solution right now? Don't open un-trusted Office documents :-| |
