The [H] examines AMD's Barcelona (quad-core) architecture

If you've been reading our news, you'd have read THG's early evalution of Intel's upcoming quad-core chip, code-named Kentsfield. Well, the [H] guys are chiming in on the other side of the fence with their look at AMD's upcoming 4-core wonder, which is currently under the K8L nomenclature. This is only a tech preview, though; gonna have to wait a bit longer for the numbers.

"But AMD isn’t sitting around twiddling their thumbs. They’ve already taped out their next-generation 'K8L' quad-core processor design with healthy increases in IPC and parallelism inside an already established power envelope."
