Qantas mandates Dell laptop battery removal for flights
Written by t-readyroc

Seems like Qantas isn't messing around with the Dell battery issue. If you're flying in one of their planes, you'll be required to remove the battery of your Dell laptop before you board. You'll still be able to bring your laptop with you, but you won't be able to use it unless you're traveling in first class or business class, where they have power outlets available. Most definitely not an unreasonable measure to take...

"Qantas said cabin crew would be advising passengers of the measures which apply to any computer affected by the recall, that has not yet had the battery replaced."
