AOL user from search list speaks with reporters

Seems that someone on the list of searches mistakenly released recently by AOL has been identified, & they spoke with a New York Times reporter about it. Although AOL apologized for the "mistake," the ramifications of the release will be felt for quite some time, I'm sure.

"But in an interview, Ms. Arnold said she routinely researched medical conditions for her friends to assuage their anxieties. Explaining her queries about nicotine, for example, she said: 'I have a friend who needs to quit smoking and I want to help her do it.'"
