It's Core 2 day, and along with their accompanying chipsets, we've got a lot of reading to do. The bottom line that I'm gathering as far as gaming goes, however, is that the difference between the top-of-the-line chips from AMD & Intel is negligible at best. I think this quote from the [H] sums it up:

"So, if you wanted to point one out as being a 'winner' then for sure it is the new Intel Core 2 X6800 and E6700. But, if you look at the amount of difference between the AMD and Intel CPUs, you will see that it isn’t enough to amount to anything."

Not only do the benchies not lie, but we can also look forward to some pretty sizable price cuts in the AMD chips in response to this announcement by Intel. I know I am :D On to the articles:
