Boeing ditching in-flight internet service

DailyTech is reporting that the uptake of carriers willing to provide in-flight internet to travelers is so poor (only a few international airlines use it) that Boeing is looking to close, or even sell its Connexion In-Flight Internet service unit.

"It costs airline around $500,000 per aircraft to outfit each plane with the necessary equipment required to enable the service and struggling airlines just don’t currently have the resources available to afford it."
