Eric over at ArsTechnica is postulating that AT&T will start slowing down its fiber roll-out. "Project Lightspeed" may come crawling to a halt. Why?

"AT&T's fiber network strategy differs substantially from rival Verizon's in that it is only laying fiber to the node. The primary implication is that bandwidth to the end user will be limited by the existing copper wire infrastructure that runs to individual homes."
