Copyright Lawsuit over.. uh.. Nothing?
Monday, 01 July 2002

Apparently there is a copyright lawsuit going on right now over a particular track recently released by "The Planets".  The contents of the track?

Nothing.  Zip, zero, zilch, nada.  It's 60 seconds of silence, but apparently someone thought that it was someone elses silence and filed a lawsuit, over who's silence it really is.

Just goes to know you can sue someone over nothing, LITERALLY.

All the juicy details here.

Microsoft discloses security flaws
Friday, 28 June 2002

I know everyone is shocked and amazed, but yes, it's true, Microsoft has found security flaws... This time with Windows Media Player v6.4 & 7.1, as well as in Windows XP.  The most serious of them all allows an attacker to access your system with the ability to add, change & delete data and perform other functions.  As if that wasn't bad enough, they also found 4 security flaws in it's e-commerce web-site building & management software (Commerce Server 2000), two of which were critical.  But have no fear, MS has posted patches for everything, so the world is secure again..

The patch(es) for Media Player can be found here.  The Commerce Server 2000 patch is available here.
