RIM loses lawsuit, BlackBerry could be barred from US

February 13th could be a black day for BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM). On that day NTP will file an injunction to bar the BlackBerry from being sold by RIM in the United States. Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO of RIM, downplayed the chance that an injunction against the BlackBerry would be successful. The February 13th court date is set to review a jury award to NTP for US$23.1 million as a result of a lawsuit the company filed against RIM over its use of allegedly patented wireless e-mail technology found in the BlackBerry handheld. We didn't even come close to blowing our monthly "load", just a misunderstanding between our host and his host, which for the time being has been resolved. So for the time being.....

End of the Beginning: Internet Sales Tax

We should've known this was going to happen sooner or later. Model legislation was approved yesterday by 32 states designed to create a system to tax web sales. Thus making it official soon that no matter what we do we will be taxed for it.
