PC's, regardless of what "flavor" you use -- PC or Mac, Linux or Windows, -- has one major flaw. It takes too long to reboot and/or turn on. Folding@Home Update
Saturday, 20 April 2002
Our Folding@Home team is doing great, our team's ranking is now in the top 800 teams.  I ask again for you geeks out there to sign up for this worthy cause.  I'm sure theres a lot of you out there who are doing Seti@Home, but lets face it, what are the chances of finding a stray alien signal?   So far it's just the Headgeek and myself, and between us in the matter of 2 weeks we've managed to get our team ranking below 1000 (from the 3000+ we originally started off at).  With help from you folks out there, we can continue to climb the ranking ladder and assist those guys at Stanford to help find a cure for some nasty diseases.  On the left side of your screen you'll find all the information you need for downloading the client, signing up for the team, and if you're running Windows NT/2K/XP, how to set the Folding@Home client up as a service.
