Spammer gets jail, you get his booty

I personally think this is a GREAT idea. Not only did the dude get jail time, you get a chance to win all the loot he accumulated while spamming the crap out of poor sods like us. Fan-freakin-tastic.

"AOL obtained the goods as part of a settlement earlier this year in the first lawsuit it filed under the Can-Spam Act, in a case involving a then-20-year-old New Hampshire resident. From Wednesday until Aug. 19, people can sign up online for a chance at winning the goods. A winner will be announced shortly after the enrollment period ends."

 
Mambo wins "best open source solution"

Not yet convinced that Mambo's here to stay? The judges at LinuxWorld Expo in San Fran might have to disagree with you on that. Mambo took home the prize this year for "best open source solution." Sweet.

"The Mambo content management system defied the bookmakers by defeating Firefox, IBM and LTSP, when being judged for the best of the best at San Francisco LinuxWorld Conference and Expo, at the Moscone Center."

Apple's got a new mouse in its midst. Multiple buttons for a Mac? Say it ain't so! Of course, you know that since it's a Mac mouse, they couldn't do the multiple buttons in the same old way...
