From everything that I can tell, this is a native OS X game; not one that requires running an emulation layer. That being said, it's for Intel-based Macs only. Of course, I'd postulate that the majority of gamers who own Macs these days are recent buyers...

'Tis truly sad to see the original, the league that started it all, close its doors for good. I'm sure that upstarts like MLG & MTV's "Hip-Hop Gaming League" had a lot to do with this. The CPL just doesn't have the resources to compete with the likes of MTV.

Looks like Nintendo didn't anticipate such a high load on their servers for the Smash Bros. release. Nintendo sysadmins were last seen sprinting for the server farm, fire extinguishers in-hand.
