The guys over at HardwareAccelerated have posted an interview with a technology strategist in Dell's CTO office on the future of Blu-Ray. This guy is apparently also the Vice Chair of Global Promotions for the Blu-Ray Disc Association, so he should know his stuff.

"Content protection will be a focus as well and it will be done with both the studios and consumer's interests in mind. Flexibility and the ability to do more with digital content post-purchase is something everyone is looking forward to. Features such as managed copy are being developed with the customer's needs in mind."

Wednesday, 14 December 2005

Conrad over at Joystiq has started a discussion based on the recent release of the eight new Unreal Tournament 2007 screenshots. There's even a post by yours truly in the comments section.

"It’s clear that there are lot of problems involved within the field of super realistic graphics, two of which we’ve looked at here. Other factors include the quality of gaming hardware, slower progress in the field of animation and most importantly: the need to focus on gameplay. After all, don’t we play games to have fun?"
