According to Reuters, the first ANDROID announcements could be less than two weeks away. You know that the other major carriers can’t let T-Mobile steal the spotlight, so if there is indeed an announcement on the 23rd, I can see others quickly following.
“Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile unit is set to start selling a mobile phone based on Google Inc’s Android software within weeks, according to people familiar with the matter.”
Go get your name in that for the Resistance 2 beta if you’re so inclined. Kotaku’s reporting that you can sign up now on the game’s official site, that spots are likely limited, & that you’d better act fast if you want in.
You can now apparently throw some christians into the mix of Spore-haters. Yep, DRM-haters are no longer alone in their quest, though the motives are clearly from different ends of the spectrum
DigiTimes has the full-coverage story. We’ll see mid-range (4670/50), followed by entry-level (4550) cards from AMD this month, & they’re still on track to get their first 45nm chips out the door before the end of the year. Fudzilla’s got the english run-down on ASUS’ 4670 offering plus a link to the original story which includes a photo. Non-reference cooling & HDMI in store. Graphics processing on the cheap, anyone?
Monolith successfully regained control of the rights to the F.E.A.R. name, so Project Origin is now F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin (like it should have been to start with).
“Why not drop the Project Origin name altogether? Well, for one, there has already been quite a bit of branding associated with that name, but more importantly, when Monolith lost the F.E.A.R. name it asked its community for suggestions to replace it. In a contest, Project Origin was chosen, and thus, the name has ties to the F.E.A.R. community.”
In case you missed it, Intel’s SSD hit the internets yesterday, & the reviews are all proclaiming it the best thing since sliced bread. Plenty of review-age to go around, so feel free to get your read on, but coming in at around $600 isn’t going to get many people jumping on the buying bandwagon anytime soon.
